4 large baking potatoes, unpeeled and scrubed
1 1/2 c. Half and Half
2 T. flour
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese
2 T. butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Slice potatoes thickly (about 1/4"), then slice again into fourths.
In separate bowl, whisk together half and half, flour, garlic, salt and pepper.
Place 1/3 of potatoes into greased (Pam) baking dish. Pour 1/3 of cream mixture over potatoes.
Sprinkle with 1/3 of cheese.
Repeat this two more times, ending with cream mixture. Dot with pieces of butter, using 2 T.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and return to oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
